- Starting point: TV Tower (Fernsehturm), Panoramastraße 1A, 10178 Berlin (Google Maps)
- Age recommendation: 7 to 14 years
How does the digital scavenger hunt work?
It's simple: launch the web app on your smartphone and off you go!
You don't need to install an app or bring any materials with you. You can start the tour right away. The app shows you the starting point and guides you step by step from one sight to the next.
Along the way, we entertain you with information, fun facts and insider knowledge that you won't find in every city guide. At each stop, Lili&Oskar, the two Berlin guides, have activities and tasks ready for you to complete directly on your smartphone.
The blue info cards provide you with knowledge about Berlin. If you click on the yellow buttons, you will be taken to the activity card, where you can complete tasks related to the sight. On the pink puzzle cards, you collect letters to guess a solution word at the end. And of course, a little surprise awaits you when you crack it!
Your guides?
Lili&Oskar. The two of them accompany you through the scavenger hunt app and provide you with information, knowledge and historical facts about Berlin. But they are also representatives of their city and provide you with insider knowledge, fun facts and dialect. They want to entertain you, give you tips and make sure that the tour is never boring.
How long does the tour last?
The scavenger hunt through Berlin-Mitte starts at the TV Tower on Alexanderplatz and takes you to the Brandenburg Gate. Along the way, you can take breaks, have lunch and see the sights along the route. Maybe you'd like to put your feet up in the park and play football before continuing. It's entirely up to you, depending on your preferences and needs.
You decide how long the tour lasts, depending on your mood. You can spend a whole day with Lili&Oskar in Berlin-Mitte or just the minimum of 2 to 3 hours. If you like, you can interrupt the tour and continue the next day.
And it's the same with the information: you decide how much information you want to take in. You know how it is, some people always want to know everything in detail, while others switch off as soon as they hear the word “information”. That's why we provide short facts and more detailed information for those who want to know everything.
How is our scavenger hunt app designed?
Our digital scavenger hunt app can be thought of as an interactive book that you can experience on the go with your smartphone. It combines information about the city with puzzles and small tasks that get you moving. It's not about speed, flashing effects or loud noises, but about a calm, creative way of getting around.
The app is therefore designed for families with children who want to spend time together, discover new things and get to know the city from a different perspective. Perhaps the app is a bit nostalgic and retro. Just right for families.
Who is the tour suitable for?
For families with children visiting Berlin for the first time. And for Berlin connoisseurs who want to discover new facets of Berlin's historic centre. For Berlin families who want to show their children their city. For godmothers and godfathers who come to visit and want to do something with their children. For grandma and grandpa who want to explore the capital with their grandchildren. For birthdays and groups. And for everyone who loves Berlin and is in the mood for an entertaining stroll through Berlin-Mitte.
What's inside?
Lots of love and creativity. Information and historical facts about Berlin. Berlin history. Puzzles and tasks. Games and jokes. And of course the two guides, Lili&Oskar, who provide you with a wink, fun facts and information about the capital.
